It's made for a car/truck, not a high revving sxs. Years ago I went that route with my 900s. Got so hot it burnt a hole in the bed.Even after using header wrap on the entire muffler it was still so hot you couldn't touch the bed bolts.
I went with the Trinity twin quiet. My stock muffler plugged at 2900 miles. Maybe a little louder but a deeper tone and got rid of the droning sound with the stock one.
It was plugged.My buddy had a Trinity exhaust at his shop so I put that on. Running normal. I did find a post on FB from a year ago of someone with the exact same issue. He cut the stock muffler apart and found the packing had fell apart and plugged it.
So my muffler caught fire tonight.Glowing red after hitting it with the fire extinguisher. Engine temp normal,no codes,but I did lose rpm's and power right before. Plugged exhaust?
