I tried it out last night, it’s not bad. I’m about to install the 52” light bar I got from harbor freight and two amber 3” pod lights.

I did my windshield at 50% with ceramic tint, it certainly blocks the heat. Buddys say they can barely see me inside but 50% is light enough to not cause any visibility issues at nighttime.

Recently did mine with 20% ceramic and 35% on front windshield. Was going to go with a brow on the front, but decided since I'm getting ceramic, might as well do it too for heat/UV blocking purposes. BTW, on the XP models, the lower rear panel is plexiglass, so I went with a new already tinted panel from Jagged xoffroad. Turned out good...not quite 20% but you can't tell from looking inward.

Can you get ceramic with no tint? If so how much of the heat blocking is due to the tint vs the ceramic?
Finally how do you know your tint shop is actually installing ceramic?

Pretty sure you can get ceramic tint with little to no tint. Carbon tint blocks 57% and ceramic blocks 90+% of ir rays according to my tint guy and what I've read online. I've never saw a specific amount of tint figured into that so I'd say it doesn't matter. I opted for carbon tint. As far as knowing which is which I guess you have to trust your tint guy, lol. I've used the same guy several times so I would think I could trust him if I ever wanted to use ceramic.

I think the lowest tint level in ceramic is 90%. It’s basically clear. Even 70% is very clear with hardly any tinting.
Typically, on a windshield, we get between 50% and 70% as it won’t make night riding difficult.
There is a very noticeable difference in how hot it feels behind ceramic vs carbon tint. In my opinion, it’s worth the price difference.

Thanks. I had cataract surgery a few years ago and it made driving at night (and welding) hard. I definitely don't need any tint at least on the front window

It’s amazing how these upgrades work together to keep the car cooler, cleaner, and easier to maintain.
Really enjoyed this breakdown on the benefits of ceramic tint especially how it balances heat rejection with visibility.

I live in SW AZ and wouldn’t get tint that wasn’t ceramic. It gets into the 100-teens here in the summer and while all tint rejects UV rays, it’s the ceramic tint that reduces IR which is what really keeps your interior that much cooler. I’m having it done to my new machine shortly myself, just like I do with all of our other vehicles (and my house actually) it’s mandatory here! 🥵
