I have seen aftermarket risers and the feller that got a driver seat adjustable pan for the passenger. But has anyone splurged on an aftermarket seat that can tilt the back forward? I feel like its leaning way back when Im driving and cannot see the road well, what is with this on an expensive northstar?!?

Lol.What are you,5'2"? I'm hesitant to buy seats because I don't want any less recline.

Seriously, I feel like a low rider my head is so far back, and I’m 6’2”. I cant drive with my back fully sealed to the seat, haveta lean a bit into it. I know they do this to fit helmets, and on my bike I am religious about a helmet… but not in this tank. Hmmmm, maybe just a thick pad strapped to the headrest will do it

appreciate that feedback, maybe I just learn to get used to it! So do y’all use helmets or back/head pads when you are reclining, or go bareback? To me, the bottom half of my back is just fine but the top half is too reclined - like I said likely built for helmets.
Happy riding!

I personally like the recline they’re at as well. It’s very comfortable seating for me.

You could probably put a couple washers on the back bolts, between the slider and seat. You’d need longer bolts, and it could damage the seat plastic if it’s too small an area the spacers support. But that would reduce the incline a little.

We never wear helmets while riding. Our riding is very casual and laid back. We've had four different rzrs before this and the seating felt very similar in the xpedition, which was one of the positive things when we were looking at it. Our rides are usually 8-10 hours long, so comfort is important to us.
I know they make seat risers, maybe they could be modified to taper down in the front to give you what you're looking for?

Seating accommodations like on road vehicle's will follow from the manufacturers of off road vehicles. Until then third party solutions and personal mods will dominate anyone whose requirements are outside the ideal balance of safe / comfort zone environment currently provided by the manufacturers. Add remote control mirrors and a stable inside cab temperature nearly dust free environment. When you buy a relatively complex offroad vehicle like higher end Xpedition's an option for an extended warranty is not just a nice to have feature even if you trade in/buy new every year. There is a reason Polaris offers a ridiculous factory warranty. When will the competition's feature set surpass Polaris?

The competition is coming for Polaris.
Crazy as it sounds, the CF Moto U10 Highlander Pro already outclasses its Polaris counterpart, the Ranger XP1000 Northstar. And that at a little over half the price. CR Moto also has an Xpedition competitor in the works with trailing arm suspension.
Canams are finally getting Group Ride. Fit and finish inside the Canam Defender HD11 is better than the Ranger XP1000 as well. Tho the Ranger has better A/C

The places where Polaris still holds the lead is the Xpedition, RZR Pro R, and Ranger XD1500. But we’ll see how long they keep those spots for themselves. They’re not sitting around though. There’s patents showing a 3 cylinder turbo engine in both forward facing CVT and side facing. Likely going into a Pro S or Pro XP.

Thanks JT for keeping an eye on the current pulse of the Industry. As you're aware in the Southern Utah and immediate surrounding areas of Arizona and Nevada off road vehicles use is exploding. As we've discussed the competition for SxS market share is evolving at such a rapid pace, Quality Assurance has been compromised.

I 100% agree the market has exploded, especially over the past few years. But when it comes to SxSs, the quality is relatively the same as it’s been for ages. What’s happened is the prices have increased exponentially without a comparable increase in manufacturing quality, with a few exceptions. It basically comes down to what the market will bear. Regardless of the brand, they’re not going to increase production costs if they don’t have to. And if people keep buying the machines, then all they have to do is barely enough to keep from getting in lawsuits or having too many warranty claims. Beyond that, they all make a big chunk of profit in selling repair parts, so there’s little incentive to improve quality and reliability if they’re not forced to.

Yes, we all need to stop buying for a couple years, then things will change !!!

Try 802 Offroad, seems like i seen something on their site that may help you

Game changer, expensive but you won’t be disappointed. Fully adjustable, 2” higher than stock seats.
