This is a brand new Polaris oil filter out of the box purchased from a Motorsports dealer on Amazon. Come on Polaris, you can do better. For the price, seal them with plastic.

Probably an Amazon return, sat around someone's dusty shop before it was returned. I have had one from
Amazon that didn't have the crush washer that was definitely opened before I got it.

Stop using Amazon oil filters. When I had my X3 there was a lot of counterfeit BRP filters being sold on Amazon. If you don't want to go to your dealer at least use Rocky Mountain or Fix My Toys. That's not a Polaris issue.
