Brake Squeal

My brakes think they should let EVERYONE in a half mile radius know that I am applying the brakes. We are talking brake squeal that would rival brake drums without the spring.

This has been since day one and in 390 miles, it is no better.

Is there a fix?

It can be fairly normal for them to squeal. It usually starts if the brake pads get glazed from heavy use. There’s not really any particular fix, other than replacing the pads and having the rotors turned. But it’s generally ok to just keep running them if the noise isn’t too annoying.

Weird. Mine have never squealed. They do feel a bit spongy and soft at times though. A brake job might be in your near future. I have about 2K miles on mine.

I have 250miles on mine and squeal like a bastard. Ill Need to investigate

Mine have not squealed. 1600 miles.

Mine squealed when I move it from the dealer's curb to the trailer. The squeal is loud and proud! We can come around a corner and see deer grazing. As soon as it touch my brakes, they skater. I need that feature on my car.
