Hello, new from Pa. Just bought a used 2024 xp 5 ultimate with 23 miles on it. The former owner put front and rear windshields on plus the upper doors so it’s ‘enclosed’. Put about 70 miles on it this weekend, fun machine. It def has the original clutching and is very loud and runs at very high rpm’s. I have read many of the posts about this issue. I ordered the resonix sound proofing kit and the terick mats and sound absorption panels. Looking forward to installing them. I def want to get a clutch kit as I do a fair amount of riding between 15 and 25 on roads. Polaris still makes the comfort clutch kit but won’t cover it I would have to pay for it. I also know of the gilomen and the aftermarket assassins kits. If my sole purpose is to reduce rpm’s at lower speeds which is best? Leading towards the gilomen but would like to hear if anyone has any other advice on that. Thanks!

the gillomen low rpm quiet kit works real good . almost too good . it does take away a lot of power and the top end takes a long time to get there . if cruising at 15 - 25 mph it works great . you can actually talk to the passengers instead of yelling at them all day . I'm gonna try a full clutch kit to loose a little quiet , but gain some power back . the terik floor mats and bed mat work great . add a couple of shipping blankets in there too to quiet it down .

Not sure about the other brands but the Aftermarket Assassins S3 clutch kit gives you a lot of weights and slugs (if you add the Cruiser option) so you can tweak it to however you like it. For example I added bigger tires so I changed the weights. AA also has very good belt grip. They also have two different helixes to pick from. No complaints from AA as I have it on my Turbo R and Xpedition.

Thanks. I think I’ll do the sound stuff and wait on clutching for awhile.

I put the gilloman clutch kid in mine, it definitely brought the RPM down where it's more usable and practical got rid of a lot of noise also where are you located? I'm also a dealer for them in New York State
Thank you so

Hey I’m in the Philly suburbs and we have a place in the Poconos where I put a good bit of road riding in. Good to hear a dealer would recommend this kit and uses it. I took it for a quick ride with my kids and some neighbor kids tonight. The one neighbor kid got a warning on his Apple Watch that he was in an environment with other 90 decibels. I never went over 25 mph. That’s crazy.

Where are you in NY? The local Polaris dealer told me 4-5 hours to put in the Polaris comfort kit. That seems like a lot of hours to me.

If your dealer can't do the comfort kit in less than an hour you need a new dealer !! :ROFLMAO:

You should go the other way !! Sound proofing is a HUGE waste of money ! Clutch and tune is WAY more worth the money !! My 2 cents !!
Thanks I appreciate hearing that. I already bought the stuff to do the sound and the more i look at it the more I have my doubts. Did you have a clutch kit / tube you would recommend?
