How do you store your Xpedition?

We are full time RVers and do not own a house (so, no garage). We will most likely store the Xpedition on the trailer.

Can these rigs stand being stored in the elements (like a car)? Should I cover it?

Thanks

We have been pulling ours behind our motorhome for a couple years now and I have to say its really hard on them! Road grime, rain, diesel exhaust etc. etc. We are currently shopping for an enclosed trailer.

I am thinking about getting a cover and then using pallet wrap to hold it still.

What size enclosed trailer are you looking for? I am considering enclosed too.

Have you tried a cover for the Xpedition? The dealer is suggesting that a flat trailer is easier to tow as it is not as susceptible to cross winds.

As noted above, If I get the flat aluminum trailer, I would use a cover and then straps and pallet wrap to keep the cover from buffiting. I would only do this on the cross county part of the trip. To go from the campground to the trailhead parking area, I would strap it down and go.

For winter storage (in Florida), I would keep it on the trailer covered up.

Due to not having enough room to store our ADV5 inside, we have a 8.5' x 20' x 8' covered trailer ordered...due this week. I will install a small trickle charger on the roof for extended times when we cannot get to use the rig.
