When I picked up my XP5 on 6/1, they told me that the Polaris oil filter wrench was recalled. A week or so ago, I heard that there is a new Polaris oil filter wrench available. Anyone know anything about the new wrench? e.g. the part number.

Thanks
JG

Why buy a Polaris oil filter wrench?
I use an oil filter cap socket with a 3/8 ratchet and universal joint. Only bad part is I have to remove one section of my SATV skid plate to get to it. Since I drilled and tapped all of the holes I at least don't have to worry about enlarging the holes every time I take it off.

Same thing you are buying without the Polaris markup.

You can probably get one at Walmart or Amazon way cheaper than Polaris or even Rocky Mt ATV

As a matter of fact I just purchased a 65mm socket for my 1st oil change. I bought mine at the local Auto Zone. I also purchased one for under $10 on Amazon but it would not fit. It was too large despite being considered 65mm from the Chinese manufacturer. Good luck. In the ei still had a heck of a time getting the filter off due to the quirky angle. I have arthritis and can't get a good enough grip to remove and install by hand.

for what it’s worth, on my 2024 ADV I was able to replace the oil today without any kind of wrench just by hand, but I do need a wrench to tighten tomorrow. Do not be afraid of changing transmission oil either - was a breeze with a simple fluid pump. Saved $450 doing it myself

Or just pull the drain plug.I like to see what's on the magnet.

Try a universal joint on the ratchet
Works good

I have multiple oil filter sockets. One might fit the Wix better and one fits the Polaris filter better

This is the redesigned on that is supposed to fit better. It was $11.00 so the savings would not be enough to make me want to stop at another store :)

I use the same filter socket I bought 11 years ago for my 570 Ranger.Fits perfect.
