Open camping areas

Anyone on here know of any boondocking camping areas for big groups with large/long rigs in Sedona or Flagstaff that are close to trails? Having difficulty finding areas since we are not familiar with the area. We want to explore the trails in these areas, but not sure where we can camp or circle the wagons with 40' plus rigs. Any other suggestions welcome , traveling from So Cal area. Thanks!

Near Village Camp RV campground in Flagstaff or near Flagstaff where I have stayed a number of times there is a road called FS 171 that runs right by the campground that goes way back and along that road there is some excellent Boondocking. I haven’t been Boondocking there, but I’ve seen numerous large fifth wheels there. It’s an excellent area with lots of trails.
