I was in Red River, NM this past week and went through the river at the beginning of Goose Lake Trail. The water was a little below bumper heigth and the engine was warmed up when I hit the water.
It made me wonder what damage I am doing by dunking a hot engine in cold water.
Having read the threads about blown engines, it makes me wonder if we are unknowingly causing some of these blown engine issues.
