I bought the American Adventure Labs mini starlink packout mount. Starlink Mini Packout Mount - American Adventure Lab
It mounts to a packout with four cleats and 8 screws so you can't easily move it from machine to machine. (You can easily remove the Starlink dish) Since I want to use it in my Xpedition or my Turbo R I mounted it to a small Packout that I can move from machine to machine.
It gets its power from the cig. lighter socket for the back seats.
I mounted it farther back to help keep the cab from blocking the satellite signal. The power cord comes out the rear window. When not used it has a rubber plug to keep the rain out of the power cord.
I just got on the standby plan (.5Mbps) so I tested it today. I was able to stream Pandora, and have satellite views on both Ride Command and my tablet (running OnX offroad or BackCountry Navigator at the same time. Wifi calling also works fine. When testing on my phone , Outlook, FB and everything else I tried would work. (didn't try Youtube)
$5 month for this plan is way more useful than the $8 month that Garmin is now charging for the Inreach enabled plan option

This is very interesting. I have been looking into adding a Starlink mini myself. I have the adv model but I have seen one mounted under the hood in another post which I am considering. Good to know the cheapest plan still works pretty well from what you say.

I use the Veritas Vans Starlink Mini mount on my XP5 and really like it. I bought the 3-pack of metal disks so I can use the magnetic mount on my XP5 and both of my Ford trucks.

Performance of the Mini in remote areas (with clear skies) runs about 97%. Every once in a while, I’ll hit a dead spot with no reception. This has happened both in the truck on backroads and in the XP5 deep in the mountains. If trees or canyon walls were blocking the signal, it would make sense—but in these cases, I was in wide open skies.

We don’t stream video with the Starlink Mini, and our typical usage is light. The most data we’ve used in a month was 35 GB, which was unusual because my sister and brother-in-law visited for a week and we left the Mini running the whole time (about a week), so the $50 a month roaming plan works well.

BTW: We have a Startlink Standard on our RV that is one an unlimited plan. We like it a lot too.
