This is a brand new Polaris oil filter out of the box purchased from a Motorsports dealer on Amazon. Come on Polaris, you can do better. For the price, seal them with plastic.
I started this thread. Since using only 91 octane fuel and not leaving my machine idling for long periods I have not experienced a return of the check engine light. I think my original problem with the light was 89 octane fuel and running the machine over 6000 feet elevation.
Are you running mid grade fuel or higher? With ethanol these machines are known to trip the check engine light when under load with regular grade gasoline. If you can get non ethanol that is preferred but hard to find in most areas.
A good ceramic window tint helps a lot to keep the cab cooler. I also put bubble foil insulation above the headliner. I live in AZ and have no problem keeping my 2 seater cool.
Love my adv Northstar even with the issues I've had. I feel it's the best out there at the moment. Now if Honda comes out with an air conditioned UTV with their current transmission instead of a drive belt I'm all in!
You would be amazed at how much dust comes in through the shifter. Problem solved with this boot. Just use double sided tape on the bottom and a zip tie around the stem and you're good to go. Amazon.com
I had a front axle pop out on my first ride, less than 5 miles. Dealer said it probably wasn't seated properly when installed. They put a new axle in to ensure I had no more issues.
Had trouble with check engine light coming on under hard acceleration. Dealer checked it out said everything was fine said to try to use non ethanol fuel or if using ethanol use 90 octane min or mid grade. I can't find non ethanol so I switched to mid grade and the light has never come back...
It great that Polaris is apparently standing behind these engines even after the lousy six month warranty is up. They should increase the engine warranty to at least a year though. We pay a lot of money for these machines with a very limited factory warranty.
I picked up a trailer hitch light mount and a pair of cube lights off Amazon. I wired them to a relay and switch on the dash. I now have the brightest backup lights off any vehicle I have ever owned.
