another member here pointed me in this direction after reading their comments. So, I decided to order myself a set and see if these help or not, I still have to receive them and install as well, but this seems to be only one company making aftermarket brakes for our machines.

The TrailD Ceramic Pads for the Expedition just became available yesterday, I ordered a set and we will see if that helps, hope to install them this week. My dealer already tried a new master cylinder, that did not help.
Keep us posted.

I guess I’m missing something, are y’all not able to stop or you just don’t like the way the brakes feel? While the brakes aren’t as strong as the ones on my Pro XP I’m also not traversing the trails at the same speed. That being said the xpedition is quite a bit heavier. Definitely interested to hear your thoughts on these pads.

Post as soon you try out the break pad, if they work I will get some to.

I did not see any improvement with the TRAILD Ceramic pads. I think the brakes are just inadequate for the weight of this vehicle. I think Polaris should consider power assisted like they have on the new Ranger XD 1500.

Please let us know, I don’t have that many hours on ours and getting brake fade. I’ve been looking for an alternative to OEM. Thanks

TPR is coming out with a big brake kit using the Pro R Master Cylinder and front calipers. It is a little on the expensive side at around $2800 but the results speak for themselves. Also, while TPR manufacturers some of the parts, they’re limited on what they can get from Polaris for the rest. And considering the cost of the Polaris parts themselves, the kit price is quite reasonable.

We’ve tried the Slingshot master cylinder alternative, but it’s really no improvement. In talking with Greg from TPR, he explained that they tested that, but while it gives a little better feel in the foot pedal it actually lowers line pressure.

I think at $2800 I will live with the stock brakes. On the trails going slow for the most part they don't bother me. Now going down roads is another story. A guy pulled out in front of me while I was doing 40. I literally had to stand on the pedal to get it to slow down.

Maybe somebody else will come out with something a little more reasonable.
