Winch Not Working?

So my winch is dead, not doing anything. Don't see that it's fused and not sure how / where to start diagnosing it???

I would check power at the big wires on the winch first if it’s good there then on to checking control connections. The winch control “brain” is on the front firewall with the busbar, a little under the driver side hood plastic. I’d check that that, the harness at the winch and the dash switch is fully plugged in, and go from there.

Mine also had issues and it turned out to be the auto stop relay was fried. Unplugged it and winch works again. Just have to watch the stopping point. Just an idea if you continue to troubleshoot.

I was going to use mine I pulled the rope in the free spool mode once I wanted to go back in. It would go back out but not in. I switched the relays under the hood, but no difference. Thanks for the post didn’t know the auto stop relay was in about the same spot. Will check that next

I just checked, I unplugged it. It’s still not wanting to retract in. So will call dealership when they open. Hopefully the extended warranty will cover what ever is wrong
