Just get a rubber grommet (most hardware stores have them). If there is a connector at the end of the cable, just make a single cut in the grommet to let the cable pass through. Then seal the grommet from the inside of the roof with black RTV.

I used a rubber horse stall mat. I got my mat from CAL Ranch, but Tractor Supply should have them. The mat is high density and HEAVY. It works well for sound deadening and stopping heat. If If I remember correctly the mat was 5 feet x 4 feet and cost about $60. It is easy to cut with any jigsaw.
