I bought a spare alternator belt to carry. Anybody installed one yet? EPI makes an install tool but it's been on backorder for months. On Amazon they sell these. Anybody tried one?

I just ordered this one from Amazon. There are two videos on using it. Seems to work, but doesn't show using it on an Xpedition.

Doesn't seem that difficult to use...if you have access. Used reward points, so didn't cost me a penny.

Ppppfffttt...I got this one. Didn't look like it would work. Made contact with EPI and learned I needed their BRT3 tool for the Xpedition.

Thanks. I have that and the cheaper version in my cart. I saw a video on FB where they had two tools. One to install and another to remove. That got me looking on Amazon. Haven't found anybody yet that has actually replaced one

So I have been researching this. A post on the Ranger HD1500 forum (same belt setup) says the Lisle tool will not work. Then in the Polaris service manual they have there own special tool. The EPI BRT3 is just a cheaper version of the Polaris tool. Then the service manual shows two ways to install the belt. One with the special tool and the second with zip ties. Attached a few pixs

I'm going to return the Lisle from Amazon.
I contacted EPI and was told to get the EBT3 for the Xpedition.
Ordered and delivered. It's going in my Dragonfire "belt bag" along with everything for changing a belt, along with laminated copies of the Service Manual pages and the spare belt.
I'm pretty good at going prepared.

I guess you mean BRT3 as that's the correct part number? It's been on back order for months. Just checked and ordered one myself from EPI. Thanks
For the instructions I leave all paper instructions, service manual etc back in the trailer. In my phone and tablet I have digital copies of the service manual, wiring diagrams and all instructions for my ball joints, tie rods, long travel, & spring setup.

Yes, I meant BRT3. They must be back in stock. Ordered and received in three days.
