Another Clutch Question

Sorry to create another clutch thread, but after searching the forum, I didn't get the info I was hoping for. (it may be me and technology)

I have a 24 XP and I know I need to replace the belt. I've considered a clutch upgrade too but see so many differing opinions. I ride a few times a year in WV. Rarely in mud and probably most often I ride on flat land. (eastern NC) Reducing cab noise would be great, so I definitely do not want higher RPM's. I was looking at Gilomen, Aftermarket Assassins and SpeedWerx but can't figure out which may be the better choice for me. I'm street legal and stock tire size. I may go up one size, but that's not hugely important to me. Is there a clutch kit that will improve the ride without sacrificing power needed for the WV trails?

I run the AA cruiser clutch kit. I have no complaints. You can't make it quieter without losing HP. With two people and 300 lbs of gear we don't have any issues with our XP5 either at elevation in Colorado or on rocks. It's geared plenty low, as a matter of fact I run around in high a lot because it's quieter.
If you get larger tires later you can always change the slugs (magnets)

Going up to 32” or 33” tires can help a little as you get a little bit more speed at the same relative rpm. You’ll just need to remember that the speedometer reads the speed based off the original tires.

Doing just a clutch kit to reduce rpms will definitely drop power. However, doing an ECU tune and clutch kit, you can reduce rpms (if that’s what you’re looking to do) while maintaining or even improving performance a little. Both Gilomen and Aftermarket Assassins are great with their ECU tunes. I prefer AA on the clutch kits, but I clutched for performance.

Went with Aftermarket Assasians cruiser clutch and their belt. Gotta get it installed. WV trip coming up in September. I appreciate the input. AA was very helpful when I emailed them with a couple of questions. Good communication and fast shipping.

For my third machine. I'm again using Gilomen Innovations products.
Terry's ECU tune is, to me, must have. Terry's clutch kit is working great. The 60 degree back cut on the Secondary clutch helix can be a tiny bit jerky if you hit the gas hard from a stop. It seems to improve the, if you will, engine braking. If I take my foot off the gas about 100 yards from a gate, or something I need to stop for, my Xpedition will slow almost to a stop without use of the brakes.

Lots of products out there, you're stuck with making the choice. For me, it was Gilomen Innovations.

I put in the DEI sound kit. I believe the results made a big difference in reducing the engine and clutch noises. I’m looking into the clutch kits next, leaning to the Aftermarket Assassins cruiser kit. Because of adjustable weights , and a different helix. Have a good day..

Installed the AA kit this morning with the help of a mechanic buddy. Fairly straightforward install. Noticed a big, positive difference immediately. The jerkiness is gone, the rpms are less (using the cruiser slugs) and zero clutch chirp when coming to a stop. Now for the master cylinder swap.

I have had the AA cruiser kit on mine for three years. No issues.
