Looking at the xpedition xp northstar 1000. I do not know if my use is within it capabilities. I off road race and have a full sized pre runner now but want to get something that I can use more here in Colorado when not racing. I think it could do the job. Just would like to get input from people that have them and gain knowledge from your experience's. I think I will need to put mid to long travel kit on it and at least 35's, from there I do not know. Everybody I have mentioned it to in the racing community think I am crazy, maybe I am. But I feel it can be done and be reliable. I appreciate the input.

I have a mid travel with 35" tires and Giloman tune and clutch kit. I am very happy with the power and how it performs. I used to have a Can Am X3 (2 seater). Two completely different machines. But I really like my new Xpedition and am glad I spent the extra money on it to build it. I also put the HD drive line in from Sand Craft.
I agree on the x3 being a different machine. I had a 1000 turbo and it was fun, but as we get older I like the creator comforts a little more. With the clutch kit and tune how has it done in the sand (silt) like in Nevada and Mexico. It is understood that I will not be as fast but I just need to get enough power to get out of those situations and be able to climb. Has anyone looked into also putting a Turbo Kit and are they reliable?
