popping out of gear

hey all. anyone having issues with popping out of gear ? mine does it when i'm coasting down a hill at around 15 mph.
shop says couldnt get it to happen while they tested it. but the shop i go to dosent have a hill to coast down. grrrr.
i do realize it will kind of go in neutral mode once you hit a few mph. but my issue is not the same.

My guess would be the shifter linkage adjustment on the transmission. I’m assuming it only pops out of high range, which would mean the shifter is hitting the stops in the shifter tower before it’s fully seated in high.
The transmission side has 2 nuts holding the cable to the transmission. You can loosen those nuts and adjust the cable farther away from the lever on the transmission. It should only need a little bit, so I’d do about 1/8” adjustments until it gets right.

If it pops out of low range, that’s likely an entirely different issue.

thank you for the info. yes, it's in the high gear. shop said linkage was fine, we'll see when i get it back. appreciate the feedback.

Mine did that and i adjusted the shift linkage next to the transmission and it fixed it.
