Finally got hold of the SDI Big Brake Kit and got it installed.
Unlike the TPR kit, this one is just replacement rotors and caliper brackets. Installation is the same process as simply changing brake pads.

The SDI Rotors are a 2 piece setup and around 20mm larger than the OEM rotors. They’re vented, so not good for mudding applications. The new brackets also don’t allow for the OEM rotor scrapers.

So far there’s a definite improvement in braking, but we still need more tome on them to get a true feel for them, as new brake pads and rotors will obviously perform better than worn ones. We went with Polaris brake pads, but SDI recommends Super ATV Sintered pads and said they are more “grippy”.
SDI 2023+ Polaris Xpedition Performance Brake Kit

With the price at $1000, it’s more budget friendly than the TPR kit, but definitely won’t be as big of an improvement either. Install is massively easier than the TPR kit.
At present, the website says out of stock, so getting a set might take a bit, but it’ll likely still be faster than getting the TPR kit.

Overall first impression is that every little bit helps, when it comes to the brakes on the Xpeditions.

I run 34" Tusk Terrabites so the brake update would have to be good enough to overcome their extra weight.
SDI has been doing their testing with 35s I believe.
With Trail Hero Expeditions heading out next week, we’ll get a good bit of testing in over the 5 days it runs for, so we’ll have a better feel for them after that. Also, while he’s only running 32s, he’ll be towing a 1500-1600 pound camp trailer. So more braking capability will definitely be helpful.
