I had a major clunking sound which sounded like it was coming from the driver's side. Took it into a side-by-side shop and they said it was coming from the steering rack. The machinic said he had heard of people replacing it with OEM with mixed results. Some people said it fixed the problem and others said it started clunking again after a few miles. Does anyone on here know an upgrade or a fix for this? This clunking going over small chatter is driving me nuts.

The Sandcraft support is only good if your rack isn't already bad. Not sure how much it helps good racks either

As far as a replacement at the moment nobody sells a new rack as the EPS/steering rack is one unit. The OEM Polaris EPS/rack is $2624. They have a new part number 1830393 that replaces 1830315. I don't know how long it's been out or if it's supposed to fix the problem or not.

I have talked to Erik @ SATV about it. They are working on a EPS/rack but are running into patent issues, so it's gonna be awhile
Your other option is to take a SATV EZ Steer unit and a rack from a XP1000 and make your own bracket. A guy over at Max Road LLC has done several

I wonder with a new part number, if Polaris has updated the internals. I just called my dealer about this and of course they had no idea what I was talking about.

Johndeerefarmer, I did a search on this Forum and on the internet and could find this guy or company. Do you happen to have any more info?
I will post here what I sent Erik@SATV. I don't know this guy or his shop but if mine fails I will try to do what he did.

That I don't know but I don't plan on gambling $2400 to find out I got the same piece of junk. I think it can barely handle the stock tires, then lots of us go larger so it fails quicker. Now my 2022 Turbo R is running 35's and it's EPS/rack is still working fine. Having said that it appears that at least the Xpedition and Pro R are having issues. I haven't researched into the newer Turbo R (now called Pro S)

Thank you for all of your help and research.
