Tire suggestions for Utah? I'm looking for advice on tires for my riding style/area.
40% pavement (I live at 7000' in the mountains, so snow/ice)
30% dirt/BLM roads
20% moab rock
10% I shouldn't have done that

I like that 10% bit 🤣. For me it’s probably closer to 25%.

I’m pretty much a fan of 2 brands of tires. Primarily, Maxxis, and secondarily BF Goodrich.
I’m currently running Maxxis 32/10R15 Carnivores. They’re excellent for the rocky desert trails where I mostly run, but also handle the sand dunes really well. Aside from occasional river crossings, I rarely run in mud so I can’t really say how well they do there. My brother has ran them in the snow, and says they work great on that.
For more pavement and BLM/Gravel roads, the Maxxis RAZR XTs are excellent. They’ve also performed well on the sand dunes. Because they have closer tread lugs (more tread surface area) they wear slower than the Carnivores. But the more open tread lug design on the Carnivores throws a lot less rocks and gravel.

The second brand was BF Goodrich. Specifically the KM3s. Their tread design is nearly identical to the Maxxis RAZR XT. The reason they’re second is that they’re slightly heavier and have slightly harder rubber. The harder rubber isn’t necessarily a bad thing as it lends to longer tire life. It’s just a slightly less cushioning tire than the Maxxis tires with softer rubber.

Check ot AMS M1 Evils. Great all around tire. I get 7000 miles out of a set with a fair amount of road riding.

I’m looking at replacing the stock tires. Really debating on between the bfgoodrich KO2 or the KM3. I had the Km3 on a ranger before worked well, but I will admit I do a lot more road riding than anything. Has anybody had experience with the KO2 in off road settings, I do trail riding from time to time it’s a mix of gravel, clay and mud conditions. If anybody has an opinion or experience please let me know, also I know nothing about offset or spacing, if I run same size do I need to put spacers to make the rear and front the same width?

I had KM3s before and they did exceptionally well. Also their other name is Mud Terrain.
I’ve never run the KO2s so no opinion either way there.

And no spacers required for running same size front and rear. I honestly have no idea why Polaris runs 11”s on the rear and 10”s on the front.
