The easiest way to run things from the front of your machine to the rear is to just drop the skid plate. Especially if you plan on lots of modifications.
There are two factory rubber grommets under the hood that will allow you to fish wires down into the front fender area near the brake fluid reservoir (There are also two rubber grommets leading to the interior from under the hood). Once your in the fender area just follow the factory harness to the back of the machine. Also handy is the battery compartment is on the route!
I pulled an extra 6 conductor cable front to back while I had the skid plate removed in case I wanted something else later.
